Sotomayor is set to be the first Hispanic supreme court justice, and after hearing this news I'm very happy to see that Washington is getting some much needed diversity. There are many people who argue that she is not qualified and I really am not sure what qualifications one needs to be a justice other than years of training and loads of experience. I am happy since Sotomayor will offer some fresh perspective and might have some different insight on the issues she'll be faced with, the only way to really tell if she is qualified is over time and how well she does in this new position of hers.

Say it aint so! I was never a big American Idol fan, I've watched the show less than five times. I think anyone who has the courage to get up and sing in front of an audience is truly courageous. Some of the contestants are really talented and end up in total obscurity after the show, very disappointing. Well I've loved Paula since Forever your Girl and I think she was a big appeal on the show, since she was the underdog of judges and was an inspiration to anyone with a dream of becoming a singer/recording artist since she obviously had a career as one for sometime and a successful one at that. The show in my opinion will never be the same and could be the end of idol as we know since the winners don't really do anything after winning.

CD review: Keri Hilson

I just purchased Keri Hilson's debut and I'm listening to it and I like it so far. I only gave it one complete spin and I have to listen to it a few more times to really give a thorough review, but so far it's cute and the songs are all likeable however I think she gave all her best songs to other artists. Check out the song with Neyo and Kanye West (as much as I hate to admit it, I love it).

I'm really happy that North Korea decided to pardon these two journalists who had been sentenced to ten years hard labor for breaking journalism laws in North Korea. Former president Bill Clinton had met with Kim Jong the North Korean leader and the talks were successful, good to see the old boy's still got his talking skills down pat.
